What makes the spectators and specifically the people throwing food and screaming during the procession back to the house any different than those that use the DeathTo hash tag in Hated in the Nation? Maybe the guy that set the whole thing in motion (fell asleep during this one and haven't rewatched so some bits are fuzzy) saw where things where going during white bear and that's where he got the idea from?Īlso, White Bear is very much the definition of "cruel and unusual punishment" so I have a hard time believing it could really happen.

Regular ol' premeditated murder? Would they just straight up murder the murderer? Child abuse? Would the abuser go in a boxing ring with a pro fighter? Thieves would have their things stolen? It seems like the punishment only "works" for this episode, and I honestly don't think it "works" since her memory is wiped at the end if the day. My problem with white bear is that the main character's punishment is pretty specific tailored to her crime (getting tortured without knowing why and having people watch but not help.) I don't think this style of punishment would work well for many other types of crime.
